He was granted an opportunity to demonstrate to the people that the essence of the law extends beyond mere ink on paper. Now, its true weight would be evaluated.
The trial was swiftly conducted following the selection of the jury and the verdict was pronounced without delay. The evidence was irrefutable. He had violated the law and thus, punishment was merited.
“The accused, Haheuiah, is found guilty of the crime assigned to him by this jury, a decision reached unanimously,” the court announced.
Given this, the judge decreed that the convict would face the harshest penalty imaginable: exile from the region of Binah and relocation to the Dark Zone of Geburah, his home until his death.
Haheuiah grasped the full import of this judgment but harbored no resentment towards his condemnors. He understood that he merited punishment for his unrestrained actions.
