How many hours should I sleep according to my age?
Human beings need sleep as much as they need to eat, but for our bodies to function optimally, we must also ensure that we get enough sleep and that it is convenient.
Although we are all aware of this, few people make sleep a priority. This makes sense in part. After a long day at work, there are still obligations to fulfill, such as spending time with family, preparing academically, shopping, doing household chores, or finishing unfinished projects.

There is also the need to amuse oneself with whatever activity one finds enjoyable; this is very different from procrastination, which many people mistakenly refer to as such.

Children should sleep more than anyone else

Newborns, age: 0-3 months
They should sleep between 14 and 17 hours a night, with 11 hours being the minimum acceptable and more than 18 hours being discouraged.
Infants, age: 4-11 months
Should sleep between 12 and 15 hours a day, although 10 or 11 hours is also acceptable, and should never sleep more than 18 hours.
Toddlers, age: 1-2 years
They need between 11 and 14 hours of sleep per day. Less than 9 and no more than 15 or 16 are not recommended.
Preschool children, age: 3-5 years old
The ideal amount of sleep would be between 10 and 13 hours. Something is wrong if they sleep less than 7 hours or more than 12.
School-age children, age: 6-13 years old
Between 9 and 11 hours.
Adolescents, age: 14-17 years
They need between 10 and 9 hours of sleep.
Young adults, aged: 18 to 25 years old
The recommended amount of sleep per day is between 7 and 9 hours, but never less than 6 or more than 11.
Adults, age: 26-64 years
Although it is not always possible due to external factors, the ideal is to sleep between 7 and 9 hours at this stage of life. There are times when a nap is necessary.
Seniors, age: 65 years
7 to 8 hours of sleep a day is recommended for health.
